Scottsdale city manager ‘search’ questioned

A retirement that was never really a retirement and a questionable recruitment process are leading some to question Scottsdale City Hall “transparency.”

In a Tuesday, Oct. 10, executive session that is not open to the public, City Council will discuss the city manager job opening, including “consider employment, assignment … salary and other contract terms.”

But some question if the recruitment for the position was handled fairly – and if it even took place.
