A new development of 153 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments near Queen Creek, along with a retail area, was approved Nov. 1 by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.
Hancock Communities’ “Hunt Highway South” will be on West Hunt Highway, south of North Stone Creek Drive in San Tan Valley.
Pinal planning staff noted that while multifamily housing stock and commercial areas are lacking in San Tan Valley, such projects generate traffic and noise, which affect nearby residents. The developer will only build one-story units. The developer has made many modifications to satisfy public concerns and coexist with surrounding residents, according to county staff.
