CASA GRANDE — The city is considering alternative housing including “tiny homes” and some made from refurbished shipping containers.
Casa Grande Planning and Development Director Paul Tice told the City Council that shipping containers and “tiny homes” could be an alternative housing source pending proposed city code text amendments that planning staff are currently working on.
Tice said staff is inundated daily with calls from prospective developers inquiring about what they could do with vacant land that would be “in-fill” sites amid existing neighborhoods.
