The bad news first: The City of Scottsdale expects to receive a smaller cut of the state income tax revenue to spend.
Then again – those who pay income tax may see this as “good news.” A new “flat tax” is expected to decrease state income tax by about 35% from pandemic highs.
Even with projected declining cuts of Arizona income tax projected to come in starting next year, the city seems to be in solid shape, according to an Oct. 24 budget presentation to the city council.
