Dutch semiconductor equipment supplier ASM International plans to invest $300 million in a new headquarters and research and development facility in Scottsdale that will create 500 new jobs.
ASM America Inc., the company’s U.S. arm that already operates out of a facility in Phoenix, said Tuesday it will build a 250,000-square-foot headquarters near the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Loop 101. The company bought the site for more than $33 million in August, the Business Journal previously reported.
