11 Mile Solar Center poised for power

COOLIDGE — Eleven Mile Solar Center is expected to being generating electricity this year.

This 300-megawatt solar and battery energy storage system located on over 2,000 acres will generate more than 900,000MW of energy annually, enough to power over 63,000 homes.

Construction on the center by Ørsted started in 2023. According to Ørsted, the center will create long-term value for landowners hosting the project and stimulate the local economy, generating tens of millions of dollars in new tax revenue over the project’s life without adding to service costs.
