CASA GRANDE — Now that there appears to be enough money to get it done, all eyes are now set on when the widening of Interstate 10 will begin to take effect.
Widening of the 26-mile stretch of interstate that goes through the Gila River Indian Community between Casa Grande and Chandler should start sometime in spring, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
A federal grant of $95 million was announced this week to add to many millions of dollars of state funds already approved.
