Meet Goodyear’s future mayor — he’s 9

At 9 years old, William Miller has big dreams. 

He’s already spoken to the Goodyear City Council about the changes he would like to see made.

William impressed Mayor Joe Pizzillo, and he invited him to city hall. He walked into Pizzillo’s office with his head held high on Jan. 17, dressed for the occasion, and ready to talk with the mayor about prospective Goodyear improvements. 

“I think we have to have more young people getting involved,” Pizzillo said.

“It’s disappointing sometimes in the elections the percentage of the people under 50 are actually voting in these elections, and it’s their future,” Pizzillo said.
