Straining under the increased passenger load in 2023, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is set to open the doors on a new, $28 million terminal expansion in less than a month.
The project, half of which was funded by the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, has been a long time in the planning and will address some of the gaps that the unbridled growth and popularity have exposed.
“We’re trying to build in some of the modern amenities you’ll see in airports,” airport director Brian O’Neill said in a statement.
