PV Planning Commission flips decision on Quail Run project

The tables have turned in the development request for Quail Run Road with an alternative design now receiving a recommendation of approval from the Paradise Valley Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission originally recommended denial of the project in November, but an alternative design was submitted to Town Council in December with access coming north from Lincoln Drive instead of McDonald Drive and a shorter length of the dead-end street.

Town Council decided the change was significant enough to send it back to the commission which voted for approval 6-0 at their meeting Jan. 16. Commissioner Charles Covington was not present.

The developer, Gordon Berry with TUNA Group, is requesting two five-acre parcels with four lots each, one tract, a new public road and improvement of North Quail Run Road.
