Heliogen seeks to intergrate ‘green hydrogen’ fuel. Court Rich, Rose Law Group Co-founder, Director Renewable Energy Dept. speaks to the local economic benefits

(Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents the developer of this project, Atlas Global.)

Heliogen, a Southern California-based company, last year won the exclusive right to lease more than 3,300 acres of desert east of this small community in western Arizona’s La Paz County for solar energy development. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management had offered the land as one of three designated solar zones in the state, this one just north of Interstate 10 and about 100 miles west of Phoenix.

More:

Court Rich, Rose Law Group Co-Founder, Director of Renewable Energy & Utility Infrastructure: “Perhaps even more important than the environmental benefit is the fact that green hydrogen projects are simply massive economic development opportunities. In this case, the County and local taxing jurisdictions will reap millions in tax revenue from this project that uses very little water when compared to farming and other industrial uses. These plants generally result in thousands of jobs during construction and hundreds of good-paying jobs for the life of the facility.”
