The Federal Trade Commission could issue its final rule on non-compete agreements in a matter of months — and experts expect it to become final sometime in 2024.
Bloomberg Law reported last May, citing an unnamed source, an announcement on a final rule will take place in April 2024, a timeline other news reports have since repeated.
“If this rule goes into effect, it is extremely broad and will require employers to rescind existing noncompete agreements.” – Shruti Gurudanti, Rose Law Group partner and director of corporate transactions
