Two days after the Super Bowl, Mesa Mayor John Giles’ gave his final state of the city address after 10 years at the helm.
Like the half-time show at the big game, the mayor’s annual address was highly choreographed, featured celebrity cameos, and boasted high production values.
Hosted by the Mesa Chamber of Commerce at the Mesa Convention Center, the speech featured pre-recorded appearances from rocker Alice Cooper, U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly and Arizona State University President Michael Crow.
