ELOY — For the fourth and final time, Eloy Mayor Micah Powell addressed attendees and the public during the Eloy State of the City event, held at Robson Ranch on Monday.
After recently announcing his intention not to seek reelection as mayor in 2024, Powell took time to thank Eloy for supporting him while also showcasing some of the accomplishments the city has completed in the past year.
“Four years went by so fast, and trust me when I say that it was a very difficult decision,” Powell said. “In that time, I’ve even second-guessed my decision. But then I see my growing family at home. My grandchildren, my youngest daughter driving away from home, knowing that she has two years left until she graduates from high school and of course being with my wife made me realize that life is too short.”
