Florence council approves C.D. Farms rezoning request

On Monday, the Florence Town Council unanimously approved rezoning 660 acres of land to allow for the building of what could be a more than 3,000-home, master-planned community.

C.D. Farms is bordered by Plant Road and a wastewater treatment plant to the east, the Gila River to the northwest, Adamsville Road to the south and undeveloped agricultural land to the west.

On Feb. 1, the Florence Panning & Zoning commission voted to recommend the council approve the rezoning.
