CASA GRANDE — Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland delivered his final state of the city address to a capacity filled Casa Grande Recreation Center.
McFarland, whose term as mayor concludes in December, told those present that growth in the form of business and residential development continued and that the city was working to ensure that infrastructure was being built to meet the extra demand of an increasing population.
“In 10 years, our population will be around 95,000 to 100,000 people. With that growth obviously comes a lot of management and a lot of challenges,” McFarland said. “I think we’ve tried to do that pretty well. We’ve got a really good council. We’ve done a really good job. I think in trying to manage our growth and that’s really the key.”
