CASA GRANDE — FrameTec announced on Wednesday plans to construct a truss and wall panel manufacturing plant in Casa Grande. According to a prepared statement, the project represents a $150 million investment and some 400 jobs.
The plant will comprise two buildings on a 30-acre parcel at the northeast corner of Thornton Road and Ash Avenue, spanning 254,000 total square feet. The site is in the city’s southwest-side industrial area.
The move by FrameTec builds upon its Arizona manufacturing strategy and will double output compared to another Arizona site at Camp Verde. The company said once the site is operational, the Casa Grande plant will have the capacity to “manufacture wooden roof/floor trusses and interior/exterior wall panels and to distribute lumber and building materials that will support the completion of 6,000 to 7,000 tract homes per year.”
