Parker council appoints new town manager

By John Gutekunst | Parker Pioneer

The Town of Parker has hired former Community Development Director Nora Yackley as Town Manager. This appointment came at the Town Council’s March 5 meeting. Yackley had served as Interim Town Manager following the resignation of Edward Dickey in September 2023.

Yackley was signed to a one-year contract that became effective March 6.

Parker Mayor Randy Hartless said the Town advertised for this position and they interviewed four people. He said the Council came to the decision to hire Yackley.

Hartless said Yackley will be paid $135,000 per year. He said this was less than former Town Manager Lori Wedemeyer was being paid, and he added it was more in line for towns of Parker’s size.
