Phoenix Economic Development Director Chris MacKay wowed the Ahwatukee Foothills Village Planning Commission with an upbeat look at how the city generally and the community specifically are poised for future growth.
“I just want to say: Wow, the work that your team is doing and that you’ve been doing,” VPC Chairman Andrew Gasparro told MacKay, who outlined Ahwatukee’s importance in Phoenix’s overall economy and her department’s goals for the community’s future.
He recalled MacKay saying years ago “Phoenix is so hot, it’s cool” and said:
“I always think about that. I always remember that. And when I listen to your presentation and your passion for Phoenix and Ahwatukee, all I can think of is so hot and cool.”
