Robinson says he plans to replace MIA Village Planning Commission members

It was not the evening to blow off a meeting.

As city Councilman Kevin Robinson chatted with members of the Ahwatukee Foothills Village Planning Committee prior to its Feb. 26 meeting, he couldn’t help but notice Chairman Andrew Gasparro and planner Mateo Moric scramble to find enough members to ensure a quorum of nine people.

Though there wasn’t much official business that required a quorum – the two major agenda items were presentations that would not need a vote – Gasparro asked Mateo to start phoning the absent members to see if they would be coming.
