Stalled in Scottsdale, Axon now exploring other HQ sites

Citing a challenging political environment in Scottsdale, Axon Enterprise Inc. is exploring other potential sites for its new headquarters, officials with the law enforcement technology company said on its fourth quarter earnings call.

Axon (Nasdaq: AXON) said it would like to remain in in the city and proceed with its vision of a new north Scottsdale corporate campus containing multifamily, retail and restaurant components and a new hotel. Rick Smith, CEO of Axon, called out Scottsdale in the company’s Feb. 27 earnings call, questioning whether the city wants Axon to remain in town and suggesting that the company has started exploring other options for its headquarters.
