CASA GRANDE — The Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval for rezoning near Earley and Arizola roads to allow a four-story apartment complex and storage for RVs and boats.

The commission on Thursday would allow, if the City Council approves, up to 24 dwelling units per acre on about 13.5 acres and also a self-storage and RV/boat parking use on 17.6 acres, south of Earley Road and west of Arizola Road.

Desert Hills-based applicant David Fitzgerald told the commission he intends to build a four-story building and the adjoining storage facility. Fitzgerald said originally he and his planning team were thinking about creating a three-story complex but instead opted to choose the four-story option.
