FLORENCE — A new multigenerational or “multi-gen” center will need to serve an area far outside the town limits to be financially viable, consultants told the Town Council Monday.

It included a market analysis and public outreach campaign to gather the information necessary to proceed to programming. The team also is evaluating the desired program spaces, the size of the facility and estimated construction costs.

John Kane with Architekton told the council the team will be working on selecting a site in June and the conceptual design in mid-July.
