CASA GRANDE — The city is developing a new budget emphasizing infrastructure in response to burgeoning housing development and business activity.
At the annual budget retreat held at the Casa Grande Public Safety Center Wednesday, City Manager Larry Rains told the City Council and various department heads in attendance that the general fund budget for the city is likely to total $99.9 million, which is an increase of $429,000 over the current fiscal year.
In his opening remarks at the budget briefing, Rains said he anticipates that the city would see a slowing down of new residential units coming online but the city would be focused on its capital improvement program.
