One of the of the final beams at the aquatic and recreation center at Frontier Family Park has been put in place.
In an old construction tradition, the beam, complete with a tree on top of it, was placed during a ceremony on Thursday,
On hand for the event were city officials and Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley who signed the beam before it was hoisted up and placed.
The center will be located at the Frontier Family Park off the southwest corner of Ryan and Signal Butte roads.
