Queen Creek’s incumbents only candidates in council race

The three incumbents on the Queen Creek Town Council will be running unopposed for their seats this election cycle.

Monday’s deadline for those qualifying for the 2024 Primary Election Ballot only yielded incumbents Robin Benning, Jeff Brown and Leah Martineau, who also serves as vice mayor. The primary election takes place July 30.

Robin Benning

Benning was appointed to the town council in November 2009 and elected for the first time in 2012. He won reelection in 2016 and 2020. Benning represents Queen Creek on the Central Arizona Governments Regional Council and the Pinal Regional Transportation Authority Board. He also serves on the town’s Downtown Arts and Placemaking Advisory Subcommittee. Benning is a graduate of Queen Creek’s Citizen Leadership Institute.
