Seven candidates, including two incumbents, will be on the July 30 Primary Election ballot for three open seats on Chandler City Council after City Clerk Dana DeLong last week released the names of those who qualify.
They are incumbents Christine Ellis and OD Harris and challengers Jennifer Hawkins, Ajlan “AJ” Kurdoglu, Cicely Rocha-Miller, Michael Simon and Joseph Yang.
Early voting starts July 3 and the Chandler Chamber of Commerce will host a forum on May 7 in Council Chambers so voters can hear directly from all the candidates.
A runoff in the Nov. 5 General Election would be held for any seat not decided in July.
