FLORENCE — Florence 287, a new master-planned community of 7,500 homes mostly in Florence, received its rezoning Monday with a 5-1 vote of the Town Council.
Councilmember Nicole Buccellato cast the “no” vote. The council originally considered approval on April 1 but opted to postpone the vote over questions about how surrounding wells would be affected and other concerns.
Jennifer Ruby with Langley Properties of Gilbert told the council Monday she heard three primary concerns from the previous meeting: location of commercial areas, neighbors with driveways across Langley’s property and wells.
