District 2 update from Pinal County Supervisor and Board Chair Mike Goodman

BIKE ADOPTION & SAFETY RODEO EVENT – SATURDAY MAY 18TH

Are you or someone you know in need of a bike?

Over the last year our office has received 29 bikes that are ready to go to their new families.

Please see the flyer below with the QR code to adopt a bike.

Don’t need a bike but like to have fun?

Join us on Saturday May 18th from 9-11:30 am at the Home Depot parking lot!

We have about 10 more bikes needing some repairs and

could use a handful of volunteers to assist with this effort!

We will be meeting Tuesday, May 18th at 8 am at the Wal-Mart Parking lot between the 2 main doors out front.

All supplies are provided.

Repairs include changing tires and tubes.

If interested in helping please email Kimberly.Carroll@pinal.gov

The committee will participate in the planning process for the adoption or readoption of a comprehensive plan, and shall hold a public meeting once a year to review applications for major amendments to the comprehensive plan and to make recommendations to the commission.

SRP WATERSHED TOUR

To help ensure the future of Pinal County’s water supply, District 2 Supervisor Mike Goodman went on a helicopter tour of the Salt River Project’s facilities, providing power and water to Pinal County.

This tour took Supervisor Goodman over the Tonto Basin, the Horseshoe, Bartlett, Roosevelt Dams, the Salt River, and the SRP-CAP interconnection facility (SCIF). These facilities maximize water conservation for residential, commercial, and agricultural needs. Supervisor Goodman also learned about plans to improve the water infrastructure to maximize the water supply.
