Gov. Jan Brewer endorses Thomas Galvin for Maricopa County Supervisor

Phoenix, AZ— Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has endorsed Thomas Galvin for Maricopa County Supervisor in District 2. As a former Maricopa County Supervisor, Governor Brewer understands the type of conservative leadership needed at the county to help individuals and families.

“I am proud to support my friend Tom Galvin for District 2 Maricopa County Supervisor,” said Governor Brewer. “Tom is a person of integrity and principled leadership, always putting the needs of Maricopa County residents first. He is committed to investing in public safety to keep our neighborhoods safe and supporting our first responders so they have the resources they need to do their jobs. As a former Maricopa County Supervisor, I know first-hand the important work done by our county leaders. We need thoughtful, unwavering leaders and Tom is the person for the job. I encourage the voters in District 2 to support Tom Galvin.”

“Governor Brewer is one of the most respected conservative leaders in our state, dedicating her career to serving the people of Arizona,” said Galvin. “She knows that work done at the county requires thoughtful leadership, not political gamesmanship. Public safety and fiscal responsibility continue to be my priorities. I am honored to have Governor Brewer’s support and look forward to earning the trust of voters in July.”

Governor Brewer’s support is the first of a series of endorsements from conservative Arizona leaders, public safety organizations, and community groups. During his time as a Maricopa County Supervisor, Galvin has been a vocal advocate for the taxpayer, championing the largest property tax rate cut in county history. Galvin has also partnered with Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and Sheriff Skinner on initiatives to curb the rise of fentanyl in our communities and increase funding for public safety.

In December 2021, Thomas was appointed to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to fill the vacancy for the District 2 seat and was subsequently elected in 2022. Since taking office, he has worked across the district – from Carefree to Scottsdale to Mesa. Maricopa County is the fourth largest county in the United States with a population of over 4.5 million people. Thomas represents more than 900,000 residents as a Maricopa County Supervisor. He and his wife are raising their young son in District 2.
