Fernandez and Altherr pull ahead in early LD32 Senate race results

The preliminary results are in for legislative district 23’s senate race. According to the Secretary od State’s website, Brian Fernandez is pulling ahead with the democratic voters and Michelle Altherr is taking the lead among republicans .

Incumbent Fernandez is ahead in democratic polling at 61.4% with 5,040 out of 8,206 democratic ballots cast. Fernandez is being trailed by Jesus Arnulfo Lugo Jr. with 38.6% of democratic votes.   

Republican nominee Michelle Altherr, running unopposed within her party, has 6,705 votes.
