CASA GRANDE — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for a new 145-room Marriott Hotel at the Promenade at Casa Grande.
The hotel is expected to be completed in approximately 14 months. It will comprise the company’s off-shoot brands of Fairfield and TownePlace Suites.
Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland was joined by Councilmember Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons and company representatives as they held gold shovels and tossed the first ceremonial dirt from the ground.
In his remarks, McFarland described the Marriott initiative as a “landmark project.”
