New subdivision planned just north of Florence town limits

FLORENCE — Rezoning has been approved for Rock Creek, a new subdivision between Florence and Magic Ranch.

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved the rezoning of just under 99 acres from General Rural to R-7 Single Residence on Aug. 21. The land is at the southeast corner of East Judd Road and North Cypress Drive and is bordered by state land to the east.

Rob Longaker, director of planning with WLB Group, told the board the subdivision has interest from builders who look forward to bringing more good housing to that area of Pinal. He thanked county staff for reviewing the project and the Planning and Zoning Commission for recommending approval.
