Wedding-meeting venue proposed in Mesa

A banquet and conference center is setting up business in a defunct steak house at Falcon Field Airport in northeast Mesa.

The city’s Board of Adjustment last week unanimously approved Together at the Landing’s request for a special use permit for its project near McDowell and Higley roads. The board’s decision is final.

“The applicant is now proposing to use the site as a wedding and event venue with over 8,700 square feet of public assembly space,” planner Emily Johnson said Aug. 14. “The event space will not only provide diverse and stable jobs but also help revitalize the area.”
