- The West Valley’s Surprise, Peoria and Glendale offer between 857 square feet and 834 square feet within a $1,500 monthly budget. By comparison, in Phoenix, the same budget is enough to secure about 60 square feet less of apartment space.

In fact,these are the only outlier cities that offer less than the national average of 729 square feet.
- For a monthly rent of $1,500, renters in Scottsdale can only secure 675 square feet of space, which is the size of a roomy studio or a cozy one-bedroom apartment. For comparison, Tucson is your go-to for maximum space on a $1,500 budget in Arizona — this amount is enough to get you almost 900 square feet.
