Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke has been named president of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns executive committee.
He’ll serve a two-year term to lead the 25-member executive committee, which is comprised of mayors representing municipalities across Arizona, that governs the League’s activities.
Hartke is serving his second and final consecutive four-year elected term as mayor of Chandler. That term ends with the first Council meeting of January 2027.
Members of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns selected new officers and members of its executive committee during the organization’s annual conference held in Phoenix last week. Superior Mayor Mila Besich was named vice president and Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers was named treasurer.
Hartke served as the League’s executive committee vice president for the past two years.
