Dear Fountain Hills and Scottsdale residents,

If we haven’t met yet, please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Thomas Galvin, and I serve as Vice Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. I proudly represent Supervisorial District 2, which includes the beautiful towns of Fountain Hills and Scottsdale.

The Board governs the county and allocates funding across its departments and elected offices. In June, the Board approved the FY 2025 budget and continued its focus on conservative fiscal policy and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

We decreased the county’s overall budget by 11% and cut property tax rates for the fourth straight year, down 18% from four years ago. We also strive to maintain a lean and effective workforce, boasting one of the country’s lowest staff-to-population ratios.
