CASA GRANDE — Mayor Craig McFarland is encouraging voters to support Proposition 486 on the Nov. 5 ballot.
McFarland told PinalCentral that monies raised via the half-cent tax are essential for maintenance and improvement of roads in Casa Grande and Pinal County.
“My hope is that people understand what kind of impact this has on our community,” McFarland said, adding that if Prop 486 is not passed, the city would have to look at other revenue-raising options for road maintenance. The tax has been in effect for nearly 40 years.
