Glendale is moving forward with plans for a recreational vehicle resort community, a 17-acre project designed to attract those who seek a vacation destination in the city.
The proposed “Glendale Recreational Vehicle Resort” project is set to include a gated-off area offering a variety of amenities alongside the approximately 166 total RV spaces currently planned for the site.
Glendale City Council unanimously approved a resolution amending the city’s general plan map to accommodate this proposed property and an ordinance rezoning the acres for the plan during their regular meeting on Sept. 24.
Each RV space will have a 12×20 concrete pad for “private guest use,” one tree per space and sewer connection, said Tabitha Perry, deputy director of development services, during the meeting. For every other RV space, there will be a picnic area and sitting space.
