(Via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport)

Chandler Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Terri Kimble looks forward to the day where she can walk down a jetway, a moveable hallway that connects an airport terminal to the plane, instead of having to climb steps to board a plane at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
She asked a Gateway official when will that day come?
“Unless anyone’s willing to give us a loan, we don’t have $800 million,” replied Ryan Smith, Gateway’s director of community and government relations.
Smith said it will take a new terminal to get those elevated walkways so passengers don’t need to climb stairs to board a plane.
