Wiffle Ball Fever: 3rd Installment of Big League Wiffle Ball Series Hitting Dr. AJ Chandler Park

Saturday, Nov. 23rd

Special Event to Feature Live DJ, Local Vendors & Full Day of Family-Friendly Fanfare

(CHANDLER, Ariz.) – Expect a home run for the city of Chandler when the Big League Wiffle Ball Series makes its way to the community this November.

Set for 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at Dr. AJ Chandler Park (3 S Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ, 85224), the third installment of the Big League Wiffle Ball Series, BLW Chandler, will welcome wiffleball teams from across the country in addition to community members, a live DJ and local vendors serving up snacks, refreshments and more.

Teams of three-to-five players of varying skill levels will compete across three divisions – Franchise, Competitive and Recreational – during the tournament, showcasing their skills against evenly matched

opponents in a lively, fast-paced format.

Players can also compete in a Home Run Derby, while participating teams can work toward earning a spot in the Final Four tournament at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, where the league’s top four teams will compete for a national title.

“It’s an honor to host the Chandler Wiffle Ball Tournament in our community, and it’s a great excuse to come down to the ball field and bring your friends and family for a day of fun and friendly competition,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “We can’t wait to see everyone come out to support the teams, cheer on our athletes and experience for themselves the excitement of this sport.”

Chandler’s BLW event is one of five in the Big League Wiffle Ball Series, which 17-year-old Paradise Valley resident Logan Rose launched and created in 2020 as a way to encourage exercise

and outdoor activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since its inception, more than 100 wiffleball teams have taken the field during the series, cementing it among the top wiffle ball events in the nation.

“As a lifelong wiffle ball fan, it’s amazing to see this event grow year after year and an honor to help to introduce the sport to even more players and fans,” said Rose. “It’s always exciting to see families, friends and players come out, not only to compete, but to enjoy the energy, community and fun these players and teams bring to the field.”

Teams looking to try their luck in the Chandler installment of the Big League Wiffle Ball Tournament can register online for $120 until Thursday, Nov. 21. Early registration is encouraged, as spots are limited and likely to sell out.
