Agate Construction, a leading construction company specializing in innovative projects across various commercial and industrial industries recently celebrated the commencement of construction on the expansion of an automotive corrosion testing facility with a ceremonial groundbreaking at the 3,050-acre facility located in Stanfield, Arizona.
The 5,201 square foot ground-up expansion includes elaborate site work involving building components such as masonry, concrete, steel, specialty coatings, roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems and finishes, in addition to specialty testing equipment. As the General Contractor for the project, Agate worked alongside the project’s architect, John Helmut, and Pearson Engineering to provide value engineering services, extensive site logistics planning and scheduling, and a comprehensive project-specific safety plan. The project is expected to be completed in 11 months.
The project will be an addition, as well as remodel, to the existing corrosion testing facility that will be executed via a detailed and time sensitive phasing schedule to ensure continued operations of the existing testing facility.
