ELOY — Offering residents affordable housing options has continued to be a top priority for the Eloy City Council. However, after a 10-year partnership with a contractor ended this year, the city’s Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program was in jeopardy.
During Monday’s City Council meeting, those on the dais unanimously approved a contract with a new company that will ensure the continuation of the project.
In May, city staff met with Brandon Bruce, owner and operator of BBAR Consulting. After discussions about the contract between the city and BBAR stalled, Bruce informed the city that he would not be renewing the contract due to other work obligations.
