P&G fully approved by P&Z

Procter & Gamble has been working with the city of Coolidge to build a state-of-the-art, sustainable facility, only its third plant built in the U.S. in more than 50 years. During the November Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the commissioners looked over the site plan one final time and approved it unanimously.

P&G is a multinational consumer goods corporation specializing in consumer health, personal care, hygiene, beauty and family care products. Examples include Pampers baby diapers, Tide laundry detergent, Charmin toilet paper, Gillette razors, Old Spice products and many more brands and products. They sell a broad range of basic necessities — which is very important for their consistency in Coolidge.

“The nice thing about (Procter & Gamble) is that they are a consumer staple,” Development Services Senior Planner Phil Garthright said. “These guys are good at what they do and the consumer always needing (these products) adds a major staple of consistency just having them here.”
