A developer is pitching a mixed-use project comprising 278,750 square feet of commercial and about 651 residential units in northeast Mesa.
The Planning and Zoning Board last week recommended council approve the requested rezone allowing for Medina Station, proposed on approximately 60 vacant acres at the southeast corner of Signal Butte Road and Southern Avenue. Council also will be hearing a request to annex the property into the city.
The case is scheduled to be introduced at the Jan. 13 council meeting and come up for a vote at the Jan. 27 meeting, according to city spokesman Kevin Christopher.
