Phoenix Open chief: Feedback upbeat on ‘tweaks’

The changes coming to the upcoming 2025 WM Phoenix Open have been met with positive reactions from fans, golfers and sponsors, according to the tournament’s chairman Matt Mooney.

In a press conference on Dec. 4 before the WMPO’s annual Tee-Off Luncheon, Mooney said PGA Tour players, sponsors like WM, tour officials and the city of Scottsdale have encourage the Thunderbirds, the organization that hosts the WMPO, to not make changes that could “change the fabric” of the tournament.
