Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., Big League Wiffle Ball is a professional wiffle ball league. BLW, which was first formed in 2019, began its first official season with four teams in the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic. The following fall, BLW revealed the Western Wiffle Ball Classic, a brand-new wiffle ball competition that would be held at Scottsdale Stadium. More than 100 teams from all around the United States have competed in the competition since it began. The BLW league continued to grow, reaching six teams in 2021.
Logan Rose, the son of Jordan Rose, the founder and president of Rose Law Group, founded Big League Wiffle Ball in 2020 at the age of 13.
“This group was founded in 2020, immediately following the pandemic,” said Rose. “I had nothing to do and was bored. One day, while playing in the backyard with a few friends, I had the idea to organize a league. We had four teams made up of neighbors, friends, and relatives, and it was a blast. The league evolved over time.”
During the fall, BLW started a 10-team professional wiffle ball league called the Big League Wiffle Ball 2024 Series! Every team has its own professional logo, jerseys, and is supported by a team owner. Prior to the Final Four and World Series, which are hosted at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the league itself consists of four tournaments staged throughout the fall. Later this month, when AT&T Stadium hosts the Final Four of the Big League Wiffle Ball Series, four teams will put everything on the line.
“Over the last four years, we’ve seen hundreds of registrations,” according to Rose. “We had teams from 12 different states throughout the nation last year. Those that sign up have a terrific time on the field and truly enjoy it.”
