A new year ushers in new leadership changes with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors!
Three new members will be sworn in Monday, including former Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, former state Senator Kate Brophy McGee and former Chandler City Councilmember Mark Stewart. Supervisors Thomas Galvin and Steve Gallardo are the only two returning to the board.
From keeping the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field to possible election reform, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will tackle some big issues this year that impact anyone who lives in Maricopa County.
“I think it’s certainly a priority for everyone and definitely in the state’s best interest to keep the Diamondbacks here,” said political consultant Marcus Dell’Artino, who works with the Board. “We know the D-backs will talk to the state legislature about some potential fixes and revenue streams to keep the stadium going and make some renovations.”
