Coolidge Regional Park advances with rezoning

A brief update on Coolidge Regional Park came during conversation on rezoning of a piece of land for the park.

During the Jan. 8 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the commission favored rezoning of 5.8-acres of agricultural land near the park to Level 2 Commercial.

According to Senior Planner at Development Services Phil Garthwright, the city has begun working with one of the best design firms in Arizona to assist with the park. Staff meets with them weekly, and a lot of thought and design has been put into various areas, especially the land they want to rezone as commercial.
