SLG Board of Elections Tour
Elections in Maricopa County are overseen by both the County Board of Supervisors and the County Recorder. The Board of Supervisors is responsible for candidate and campaign filings, in-person voting, vote centers, hiring of elections workers, and the processing and tabulation of ballots. The Recorder’s Office is responsible for mail voting and voter registration. Please join us for an informational tour to explore election administration in Maricopa County. (There is no cost but you must reserve your ticket through the Midyear Meeting registration one week before the tour date.)

SLG CLE: Understanding the Role of Tribal In-House Counsel
Attorneys who work in-house for Native American tribes often wear multiple hats. Sometimes their jobs can involve government functions like prosecuting crimes. At other times, their jobs are more like corporate in-house counsel and can involve contracting and commercial litigation. At all times, they are mindful of the importance of protecting their tribe’s sovereignty. This panel will explore the unique role of tribal in-house counsel and the challenges and opportunities the role presents for the attorneys who serve in it.
